GIS Analyst Post – Southeast (Ref. GIS2011/11/)
• Strong data management and analysis skills particularly in an environmental context.
• Familiarity with EU Directives and national regulations in the environmental area.
• Analysis and modelling skills including ideally Esri Spatial Analyst, ArcHydro.
• Technical scripting skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience in Esri geodatabase creation and management.

Compass Informatics are always looking to hear from people interested in joining us. In particular we look for people with a strong technical aptitude and an interest in applying their skills in applications relating to the natural resources, asset optimisation, planning and socio-economics. We have team members based in Dublin but also teleworkers who work on contract.
The skills generally required include the following:
- Programming: .Net / C#, XML/XSL/SOAP, Silverlight, & Java/JSP
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle & Oracle Spatial, MySQL ...
- Web development: Database-driven sites using .Net, Java, or various Open Source frameworks; Content and page design
